Interesting Information Regarding The California Election Results.
The upcoming elections always present an interesting time for members of the public. Ordinary citizens will be in a frenzy deciding whom to vote for and understanding all the different types of voting that needs to take place. People in California are always interested in the California election results as it determines who is going to be running the show in that state.
There are varieties of different dates on which certain elections will take place. On Tuesday 08/22/2010 the special general election for Senate district 37 as well as Assembly district 43 will be held. On the same date the special primary election for Senate district 15 will be held.
On the night of the elections there will be a website that people can visit in order to keep track of the election results in real time. This will include the state-spread direct primary election results and the special general elections for Senate District 37 and Assembly district 43.
The results of the elections for the special primary election for Senate district 15 will also be available for monitoring on the same night.
When a statewide election has taken place then the law dictates that every one of the fifty-eight counties submit election results that have been certified within thirty-one days to the Secretary of State. The Secretary then has a further seven days in which to collate the Statement of Vote in its entirety. This document will have all the election results for each of the fifty-eight counties. He has just over five months from the date the elections were held to draw up an addition to the Statement of Vote otherwise referred to as SOV. Herein will be more detailed and comprehensive information regarding the elections in each of the counties.
The Statement of Vote and the Supplement to the Statement of Vote for the elections that were held in 2009 on May 19 are available for public scrutiny on a website.
It is the duty of the Secretary of State to verify the results that have been submitted by each of the fifty-eight counties. This procedure takes place after every statewide election. A Statewide election is when voting is done to elect people for state ballot measures, presidential offices, constitutional, judicial and legislative offices.
It is at this time that the Secretary of State produces the Supplement and the Statement of Vote; this will contain comprehensive electoral statistics for every one of the fifty-eight counties involved in the elections.
The leader of the polls this year is California, this is because there is a race on for the U. S. Senate seat, other major positions and last but not least a replacement for the popular movie actor and past body building champion Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Members of the public are welcome, in fact encouraged to follow the results of these elections on web sites, there are also bogs on the subject, and this should make for entertaining reading. The California election results will be interesting this year and for this reason there should be plenty interest in the upcoming election results.
